OpenGL Game Programming is an 863 page book that teaches people how to use OpenGL 1.1 in the context of game development. It assumes basic C/C++ knowledge, steps through the basics of the 3D graphics pipeline, and then walks through the OpenGL API.
Every chapter includes at least one major code example to demonstrate use of the OpenGL APIs. At the end of the book a full, simple 3D first-person shooter game is created with a simple 3D game engine.
